Nurses and other medical professionals deal with death, dying and grieving as a part of their profession. For those working in Hospice, this is true every day they show up for work. So one might think they “KNOW” how handle it better than most. You might want to re-think that. Helen Bauer, Founder and co-host of the Heart of Hospice Podcast has been a Nurse, a consultant, and a griever and she says a lot of people in the profession take a “Do as I say, not as I do” approach, which can lead to burn out.
We had quite a comprehensive and interesting conversation.
I hope you will find it to be that as well.
